COURSE INTRODUCTION
Our Level 3 Hybrid Diploma in Gym Instructing & Personal Training allows you to work for any gym as well as set up & run your own PT business anywhere in the world.
This qualification is a combination of our Level 2 Gym Instructor and Level 3 Certificate in Personal Training. It will provide you with the tools and skills necessary to start working 1-2-1 with clients within the gym environment.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Do I need any existing qualifications before enrolling?
There are no formal entry requirements for this course, this course is designed for people looking to enter the fitness industry.
The following are desirable but not essential:
- Some experience of gym-based exercises, including free weights, is highly recommended.
- The course requires physical exertion and individual participation is essential; therefore, a degree of physical fitness is necessary.
- There is also an element of communication (discussing, presenting, reading and writing) involved and learner should have basic skills in communication pitched at level 2.
What will I learn?
You will study at 2 different levels throughout this course:
At level 2 you will cover:
- The basics of Anatomy & Physiology
- The Principles of Exercise, Health & Fitness
- How to perform gym inductions
- Basic programming and delivering gym based sessions
- Professionalism and customer care
- Health and safety in the fitness environment
At level 3 you will cover:
- Advanced Anatomy & Physiology
- Principles of Nutrition
- Client consultations, goal setting and behavioural change
- Advanced training techniques
- Programming and delivering Personal Training sessions
- How to start you Personal Training business
What is a PT MENTOR®?
A PT MENTOR® is simply someone whose actions, attitudes and successes, inspire and motivate others toward achievement.
PT MENTORS® lead, guide, focus, and drive their trainees. They set goals, create action and business plans, overcome objections and obstacles, and smash their targets.
Should you opt for blended learning, your PT MENTOR® will spend time with you in the gym environment, preparing you for your observed assessment. Here you will cover advanced cardiovascular and muscular techniques and Training Systems. This synergy of the practical and theoretical is BODYCORE’s signature approach to learning and truly prepares you for the real world gym environment.
If you opt for distance learning you will practice this yourself whilst being accountable to your PT MENTOR®.
How long does this qualification take to complete?
On average our Online learners typically take 6 months to complete, where as our Mentor-Led learners take 10-12 weeks to become fully qualified. The beauty of our flexible learning approach is you take as much time as you need*
*Our policy is a maximum of 6 months per level/qualification
How will I be assessed?
This qualification is assessed by the following methods:
- 2 x Portfolio of Achievement (LAP)
- 3 x Multiple Choice Theory Exam
- 3 x Observed Practical Assessment
How much does the qualification cost?
This qualification can be paid by one of the following methods:
- Upfront via a single payment of £1499 (Online) or £1999 (Mentor-Led)
- Via a payment plan of 10 x £200 monthly instalments (Online) or 10 x £250 monthly instalments (Mentor-Led)

Once qualified, what's next?
Upon successful completion of your qualification and full payments received your certificates will be released.
